Atlantic City Electric’s Good Energy Guide Arrives with Summer Savings Tips

Are you hot in your bedroom, but huddled under blankets in your living room? Do you repeatedly turn off lights your kids leave on? If so, you may have found yourself in the middle of an energy squabble. Enter Zoe, Atlantic City Electric’s new Good Energy Guide. She is here to help end your squabbles and give you solutions that can help you save energy and money. Look for Zoe on our website, in emails, and in ads to learn more about energy efficiency programs, rebates, and discounts that can help make your home more efficient and harmonious.

Some of Zoe’s energy-saving tips include:

  • Get energy efficiency, health, and safety upgrades to your home at no cost through our Home Weatherization Program. A certified contractor will inspect your home for energy-saving opportunities and may install no-cost products like ENERGY STAR® certified LED bulbs, efficient-flow showerheads, and more. Based on your home’s needs, you may qualify for additional health and safety improvements —valued at up to $7,500.
  • Get up to $1,200 in rebates to upgrade to a high-efficiency heating and cooling system with the HVAC Efficiency Program. With this upgrade, you could save 10–30% on your utility bills every year.* Plus, if you have multiple systems in your home, you may be eligible for more than one rebate. Low-to-moderate income residents also may be eligible for an additional $200 per measure.
  • Schedule a Home Energy Assessment through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program. During the assessment, a participating contractor will inspect your home, run diagnostic tests, and provide you with a detailed report of recommendations. Qualifying New Jersey homeowners can apply for a 0% interest loan on recommended energy-efficient home upgrades and get up to $5,000 in rebates.
