At Pepco, our teams are doing more than just delivering energy; we’re empowering our customers with the tools and resources to manage their energy usage and bills. Recently, we partnered with District 8 Council Member Edward Burroughs III, a lifelong resident of Prince George’s County, to host a free energy resource fair focused on helping local residents save energy and money.
Attendees had the chance to connect with Pepco employees and community partners to learn about a variety of programs we offer, including energy efficiency initiatives, payment assistance options, and resources to explore solar energy and electric vehicle programs.
“Partnering with Pepco to host the energy resource fair was an incredible opportunity to directly support the residents of District 8. Pepco’s commitment to providing essential resources and innovative programs to help families save energy and money truly makes a difference in our community,” says Council Member Burroughs. “Events like these not only empower residents, but also demonstrate the power of collaboration in addressing critical needs. We’re grateful for Pepco’s dedication to improving the lives of our neighbors and look forward to continuing to work together to make a positive impact.”
The fair is part of our broader efforts to provide support to those who need it most. In 2023, we connected more than $35 million in energy assistance to 22,000 Maryland customers. By offering these resources, our goal is to remove barriers associated with managing energy bills, so our customers can focus on the good things in life.
