Serving with Heart: Pepco and Catholic Charities Help Bring Thanksgiving to Those in Need

The spirit of Thanksgiving filled the Pepco Edison Place Gallery as our teams joined Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington to host the 13th annual Thanksgiving dinner. Hundreds of neighbors from across D.C. joined us for an evening of food, conversation, and community.

The dinner, part of Catholic Charities’ St. Maria’s Meals program, united volunteers from both organizations to serve a traditional holiday meal and provide guests with warm coats and winter essentials — small acts of comfort that make a big difference heading into the colder months.

“As someone who grew up in D.C., this annual Thanksgiving dinner is especially meaningful to me,” said Amber Perry, Region President at Pepco. “Our commitment is to support those who make our region stronger. Many of our employees not only serve this community — they live here. Partnering with Catholic Charities truly reflects the spirit of the holidays: sharing warmth, compassion, and a sense of belonging.”

During the holidays and in times of uncertainty, events like this remind us of the power of showing up for each other and caring for our community Whether it’s through volunteerism, working alongside community partners like Catholic Charities, or the reliable energy service you count on every day, Pepco is committed to being part of the moments that bring people together.

Pepco is helping power stronger, more connected communities for all.
