Mayor Muriel Bowser has appointed Commissioner Ted Trabue as the Interim Chairman of the DC Public Service Commission, effective August 18, 2026. The Commission plays an important role in overseeing the electric, natural gas and telecommunications services that District customers rely on every day.
For customers, this leadership change helps ensure the Commission’s work continues without interruption as it reviews important issues related to affordability, reliability, infrastructure investments, and the District’s clean energy goals.
“Meeting the District’s energy, affordability, and sustainability goals requires strong partnerships and a shared commitment to the communities we serve”, said Valencia McClure Exelon’s Senior Vice President of Government Regulatory and External Affairs.” We value our partnership with Chairman Trabue and the Commission, and we look forward to continuing our work together to support District residents and businesses, strengthen community engagement, and help build a strong energy future for the District”.
Commissioner Trabue has served on the Commission since 2022 and brings experience in energy, economic development and public service in the District. Pepco will continue working with the Commission and District leaders to provide safe, reliable and increasingly clean energy service for our customers.
