Spring into savings with the Home Energy Check-Up and Counseling Program for Delaware

With warmer temperatures just around the corner, now is a great time to explore new ways to save energy and help lower your future bills. Delmarva Power and Energize Delaware are excited to offer Delaware customers the Home Energy Check-Up and Counseling Program (HEC2), a simple way to learn how your home uses energy. You can start saving immediately with energy efficient products and custom recommendations. This no-cost home energy assessment and counseling only takes about an hour of your time.

An Energy Advisor will walk through your home to check the condition of:

  • Insulation levels
  • Air leakage
  • Heating and cooling systems
  • Windows and doors
  • Lighting and appliances
  • Water heating equipment

They may also install these no-cost energy-efficient products to help lower your bill immediately.

  • LED light bulbs
  • LED nightlights
  • Faucet aerators
  • Efficient-flow fixed showerheads
  • Water-heater pipe insulation (installed on hot for 4 feet from the water heater)

Then, you’ll receive a customized report with information about how to save energy and improve the comfort of your home, energy-related programs for repairs, rebates, and utility assistance.
