Atlantic City Electric has always been home for me. It’s where I began my career more than 20 years ago as an intern, and where I learned that the strongest progress happens when people come together with purpose. That sense of community and collaboration still guides everything we do today.
Over the past few months, I’ve seen that spirit in action all across South Jersey — in classrooms, at community events, and through the work of our incredible employees and partners. Programs like ACE-Celerate! give local students hands-on experience with energy careers, helping them discover their potential and see a future for themselves right here at home.
I’ve seen that same energy reflected in our Sustainable Communities Grant Program, which this year supported seven municipalities through Sustainable Jersey. From green spaces to strengthened infrastructure, these initiatives show how local partnerships can create lasting impact for generations to come.
We also took time to celebrate the people who make community service part of their every day. Our Exelon Foundation Volunteer Award honorees, Hollie Wilkes and John Garth Sr., remind us that leadership isn’t just about what we accomplish at work — it’s about the compassion we bring to others.
That commitment to connection and inclusion was also recognized by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, which honored Atlantic City Electric with the Trailblazer Impact Award. The award reflects the collective effort of our employees and community partners who continue to transform conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion into lasting change.
And as we head into the holiday season, that same spirit of service is everywhere. Our teams are once again partnering with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program and IBEW Local 210 to bring joy to families across South Jersey — collecting and wrapping gifts, lending a helping hand, and brightening the holidays for our neighbors.
Whether it’s inspiring students, investing in sustainable neighborhoods, or giving back during the holidays, every effort reflects what makes this region so special: people who care deeply about one another. Thank you to our colleagues, partners, and community leaders for continuing to move South Jersey forward together.
Warm regards,
Jaclyn Cantler
